Trefeglwys is a village in North Powys, mid Wales, within the traditional county of Montgomeryshire.
Historically, the community of Trefeglwys includes the townships of Bodaioch, Maestrefgomer, Esgeirieth and Dolgwden. Whilst a rural area, the community of Trefeglwys is about 8 miles long by 3 miles wide and enjoys stunning views. The community, which is set in one of the most beautiful areas of Wales, has parts of the Clywedog Dam within its boundaries and is within easy reach of Llanidloes, Caersws and Newtown.

Trefeglwys community includes the villages of Llawryglyn and Staylittle, both having their own Community Associations. The name derives from Tref 'township' and Eglwys 'church'. The village sits on the river Trannon. There are many amenities in the village including public house,  florist, church, chapel, primary school and village hall.
